Garment Care Guide

Care, considered

Beautiful fabrics deserve thoughtful care. A few gentle habits will help preserve the color, texture, shape, and finish of your Aftrdsk pieces for longer.

Before you beginAlways check the care label sewn inside your garment first. Where its instructions differ from this guide, the garment label takes priority.

A gentler silk routine

Small steps make a lasting difference

Silk is strongest when handled with patience. Keep washing brief, use only a small amount of detergent, and support the garment's weight while it is wet.

Drying and storage

Let delicate fabrics breathe

Direct sunlight, high heat, and trapped moisture can weaken fibers and alter color. Allow every garment to dry completely before putting it away.

  • Keep silk away from direct sunlight and strong fluorescent light.
  • Choose a cool, shaded, well-ventilated place.
  • Use a breathable garment bag for leather, wool, and structured pieces.
  • Do not seal delicate garments in plastic or store them under pressure.
